Cancer does not discriminate. People of all races, religions, ages and even animals are affected by this horrible class of diseases. Cancer will take on two forms; malignant cells spreading throughout the body via the lymph system in the blood or forming a tumor. Tumor means abnormal swelling of the flesh and can be found anywhere in or on the body.

The life of the body is the blood. The blood has a dual function; it delivers sustenance and transports waste. The blood contains different types of cells that have different functions. Our immune system defends the body from the threat of infectious disease, and consists of white blood cells and the lymphatic system.

We do not know what causes cancer but studies have proven that attitude is everything. Deuteronomy 30:19 “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life that both thou and thy seed may live.” Clearly after diagnosis, you have a choice to believe that you have the power to live or have a pity party all the way to the grave.

The first herb I will recommend is Cleavers. The plant has several medicinal properties. It is edible raw but also can be added to soups. It can be used as a coffee substitute. If used as a vegetable it causes weight loss. If used as a dried herb it has an anti-inflammatory effect and also treats eczema, seborrhea and psoriasis, but most importantly it has detoxifying agents and stimulates the lymphatic system, properties that are crucial to helping a cancer patient.

The next is called Blue Violet. This herb is used primarily for cancer, cancerous growths, skin diseases, tumors, and particularly problems affecting the stomach and bowels.

Ground Ivy is an herb that is edible and can be eaten in salads. It is used as an appetite stimulant, relieves congestion, and inflammation in connection with colds and flu, and it is said to prevent and treat many forms of cancer, specifically Leukemia and HIV. This herb is mild enough to give to children.

Passionflower, named for the Passion of Christ, three stamens refer to his wounds, 12 petals of the plant represent the 12 apostles, and the flower is sweet and aromatic. Of all the herbs, studies have shown that this plant is responsible for positive results in fighting cancer, HIV, Leukemia, Parkinson’s, motor nerves in the spinal cord, epilepsy, insomnia, and so much more. The fruit and flowers are edible and the leaves can be used in salads to make tea, making this plant the king among herbs.
