October 19th, 2009

Despite the sluggish economy, customer service is still one area companies are willing to invest in. To decrease costs however, they are turning to home based agents to provide the service. If the job offers more than $19 an hour walk away since it most likely not a legitimate work at home job.

What are the hours?

Customer service jobs and the hours required vary. Some companies will want you to work evenings, some may want weekends. Even though most allow a flexible schedule, they still expect you to work a set amount of time. Some companies may even have work at home employees on a set schedule. A company ad that is not clear on work hours should raise alarm. Be sure to get a clear idea of how much of a commitment the company expects.

Is there a sign up fee?

No legitimate work at home customer service job is going to ask you to pay a fee to work for them. If the company is asking you to send money for information or to sign up for the site it is a scam. Home based customer service jobs are the same as office ones. You need to be skilled in order to get the job. You most likely will have to go through an application process, but a legitimate company is not going to ask you to pay any fee up front simply to apply.

What are the requirements?

Any employer looking to fill that job, they will want to hire the best person. To do this, legitimate work at home companies will state exactly what is required of the employee. This will include what types of tasks are to be completed, and even what kind of equipment the company expects you to be familiar with.

No experience is necessaray but you need to know that your capable of doing the work required. You should put your guard up of the ad is vague and the requirements are even more vague. The less information the company provides the more likely it is a scam.

What You Should Know to Start a Business

October 15th, 2009

Today I will tell you about what you should know before you start a business as an entrepreneur. I am certain that the moment this thought crossed your mind let alone you sharing it with your close ones you could identify your dream crushers. They are your closest friends, family, relatives colleagues basically your whole world. Few of us and the most luckiest of us have supporters instantly when we share that we want to start our own enterprise. Trust me the first thing you must know about dreaming big is you are bound to get this welcome.

For any enterprise you must have a vision. A vision need not be a measurable, achievable or limited goal, in fact the other way round. Visions are suppose to take you as far as your imagination and thought process can take you. The louder people laugh at your vision the bigger it is, the bigger the vision the better the goals, the better the goals, the more fruitful your achievements will be. Its clear you dream big when you intend to reach heights as they all say the fact that you are able to dream justifies that you are equally capable of achieving it. It also helps when people are not in favour of your capabilities to achieve your dream so when you do reach there you laugh the loudest on their face. Believe me there is no feeling greater than that one.

Intimidated by a business degree ? Firstly let me tell great businesses were not run because their owner was a rank holder in Harvard/ Wharton Business School, not that a degree isn’t helpful, yes it is indeed but not the necessary tool. What they don’t teach you in B schools is how to apply your common sense, knowledge and gut instinct to good use with your passion of course. Everything you don’t learn in a B school you learn in the outside world. Again I do not advocate that you mustn’t get a formal education if you can. I advocate that if you haven’t got any formal education you need not be shy of going ahead and getting into business if you believe you can do it.

You need a plan – business plan. You need to know what is it that you want to make a business out of? It could be a product or a service or it could be a service to get either one of them to your clients/ buyers. Whatever may be your product / service you have to identify your market. Nothing will work in your favour unless you don’t identify, understand and communicate directly to your market. When I say market I mean your target group (TG) or target audience, target customers. So when I sell my service of wellness management I must know who wants to buy it, can buy it and where are they looking for it ? You see if I don’t even know where my audience is searching for my product how will I communicate to them?

If I don’t know who are likely to buy my product? whom do I sell it to? If I don’t understand what capacity of money are they willing to buy it for? will my pricing be correct enough to make a profit? Now once you have regarded these commonalities you will chart out a plan of action – your business plan. Your budget, that is for investment and return of investment and the time period taken to recover your primary investment will be determined by this exercise. I know its huge deal for first timers, but do not be overwhelmed to an extent that you quit or drop the idea of your business.

The first sign that you can be a good business person is that you have enough resilience, perseverance and killer instinct to educate yourself, invest in acquiring any knowledge or skill that will give you good returns later in your running enterprise. So keep your business plan simple and straight. Nobody is coming to inspect it and rate it anyways so why confuse yourself by following management jargon’s and loaded methodology. Follow what you can understand and not what Business Gurus will. Your business plan should be cut and clean, measurable, and datelined.

Budget / Capital Investment is usually where ideas can shrink or disappear in reality. Well there is a common adage that goes ‘ no pain no gain’. You don’t need a huge capital to begin, in fact best businesses in this world have begun most humbly with sometimes no money at all. But that depends on how much of skill do you have to go to an extent to make it happen. Your business is actually nothing but a concept and it ends up as a concept till the end. What does that mean? Simply put, you didn’t need money to think you can do it so don’t let limited funds keep you away from your dream becoming reality. Begin small and end up big is the key to a successful business. Prioritise your investments, spends and stakes.

You can give certain things for lower price tags in the beginning to start up. However short selling should not be encouraged as it can later kill you before you know it. Position your spends diligently. Spend on what can’t be done away with. You need to make peace with the fact that in this world no matter what you do, you receive only after to give; even in case of a job your paycheck arrives after a month not in advance. So is the case with business, therefore don’t be bogged down by people who crib the fact that you’re spending more than you’re earning during the first months of business. Stay cool, collected follow your plan, keep verifying it and rechecking it with situations as updation of your plan is a must.

You can’t stick to the same plan if a drastic situation arises, like your city or town undergoes a natural calamity, epidemic disease, economic crisis, lifestyle trends change in your TG. Verifying your plan with the situation and suitably adapting to it will ensure success.

Well absorb what you learned today and I shall return with the same topic with different things you need to know to star a business.

Meanwhile if you want to know how you could start a business or promote your current business better I have a link that would teach you as I have gathered my knowledge from the same.

Wish you Wellness,

Best Craigslist Search Tool

October 15th, 2009

Which is the best Craigslist search tool available online – is a question that can be easily answered by – what should you look for in a Craigslist search tool? Let’s take a look at some of the features that would make sense on a Craigslist search tool.

Firstly, the tool has to be equipped with a multi city/country/category search function. This basically means that if you are sitting in Canada and you want to find a book through 20 different states in the US, the tool should allow you to do this with just one click and a few words.

Secondly another good feature would be email notifications. Sites like Craigslist are updated every second almost. People are posting new things all the time. If the tool you get has a notification feature, you will be one up on all those other people who are searching Craigslist by the conventional method of browsing each page and ad.

Thirdly, apart from Craigslist, other sites like eBay too have good deals. Why should you only limit your search to Craigslist when there is a high possibility that you might get a better deal on eBay? So make sure you get yourself a tool which will allow you to compare item prices between these two sites.

Lastly, get a tool with an easy to use interface that allows you to amalgamate everything into one window. That way, there will be a lot less confusion and you will be able to look at ads, reply to them, customize the search tool and everything else from one console.

Finding the Best Internet Home Business to Meet Your Needs

October 13th, 2009

The decision to work from home can be a difficult one. There are many factors to consider, but you may just find it an opportunity to do what you’ve always dreamed or and a way to work in an environment that allows you to set your own hours and cut down on commuting costs.

There are many Internet home business opportunities available and choosing one can prove an interesting if not daunting task. The key is to select an area you love. Enjoying what you do will bring you one more step toward the success you desire. The first step to choosing your particular area is to consider your skills and expertise. Many people choose to work from home after years of enduring the daily grind. By this time, they are confident enough to try it on their own. You may be one of those people and if so, choosing your area will be easy. If not, however, never fear. There are still many great opportunities out there for you.

The most important thing to remember when selecting the best Internet home business idea for yourself is to choose something that inspires you. If you believe in it you will be able to convince others to follow your lead. Excitement can be very contagious and sharing your enthusiasm can go a long way toward interesting someone in what you have to offer.

Modern technology, namely the Internet, has made it possible for home based businesses to thrive. The Internet in itself has opened up a multitude of possibilities where global access is concerned by allowing business owners to connect with people around the world in a way that is still somewhat new and exciting. This means that the possibilities are literally endless.

A second rule to follow when choosing the best Internet home business idea is to have a good marketing plan in place. When putting this together, you must think long-term. The first step to formulating such a plan is to set small goals that will lead up to larger ones, thus forming helping you reach what has become the big picture, i.e. the success of your business.

When setting your smaller goals, think in smaller increments. Begin with a one year plan. Ask yourself what you hope to accomplish within that time frame and write your marketing plan according to that goal. Be realistic and remember that all businesses take time to thrive. Next, think of where you want to be in two years, three years and so on. A good rule of thumb when beginning is to go with a five year plan. That five year plan will be broken down into each year. Writing out a plan will accomplish two tasks. First, it will show you on paper where you want to be and how you intend to get there. Second, it will make it easier to break down the big picture into smaller parts that are much easier to digest.

Once you have chosen an idea and have formulated a plan, you are ready to put it in motion. This is the exciting part, the point at which you will be able to watch your ideas come to fruition. If you truly enjoy what you do and have planned how you will set about doing it, you will find the experience to be a fulfilling one. There are many great ideas that may just be the best Internet home business for you, so choose carefully and don’t be afraid to take advantage of the global success you will enjoy.

3 Ways to Become a Work-At-Home Fraud Victim

October 13th, 2009

This article shows some of the ways by which you can end up as a work-at-home job fraud victim. This means if you know and memorize these ways, you can easily do the opposite to avoid being a prey to such scammers. Bear in mind the following methods and learn the different ways by which you can become a victim. The best way to avoid a danger is to learn all about it so that you can avoid it in all it’s varied forms and possibilities, and that’s exactly what you’re going to learn here.

Method 1 – Pay a Training Fee

It is really baffling why someone should pay a token amount to make money. However, if you are really desperate, then you will probably go ahead and pay whatever amount the scammer asks you to pay upfront and think of it as your training fee. Use your common sense. If someone wants you to be trained for doing their job, they should be the ones to pay you, not the other way around.

Method 2 -No Resume needed

Have you ever come across a legitimate job that doesn’t require your resume or work samples? Probably not. If you do come across one such job that sends you a, ‘You are appointed’ message without needing your resume and if you get all excited over it and start doing your job right away, know that you have become a victim to a home based job fraud.

Method 3 – No Background Checks

Work-at-home fraudulent jobs are everywhere on the internet. Many people have lost money to tricksters and cheats. Just a simple and small background research can save you all your time and hard work. One of the best ways to avoid getting cheated online is by doing a simple search for the person’s name, email address or company name on a search engine such as Google to verify the person’s legitimacy. Avoiding this raises the possibilities of you being exposed to a cheat.

If you do business online it is a good idea to search multiple locations on online classifieds like Craigslist. You can now work online fearlessly because you will never fall prey to cheats and fraudsters online!

The Art of Building Assets Online

October 13th, 2009

When you are building your business online, you must be able to build assets if you want to quit your job.

A 9-5 job is only short term income. It can be a lot or a little, but fundamentally it is still short term…

Why?

Because the moment you stop working, you stop making money immediately!

Your boss may tolerate your laziness for a few days but if you don’t put in the hours, you will never get anymore pay whether it is weekly, daily or monthly pay!

If you keep on trading time for money, you will never be free from your job!

Online assets are different. Here are a few principles that you can apply to your online business strategy:

Tips For New Home Based Business Owners

October 13th, 2009

The reality of the current economy is that the only way many people can stay afloat, and prosper, is to start and manage their own business. In order to be profitable, however, it is going to take focus and dedication. Here are a few tips to help you achieve success in your new endeavor.

Set a Daily Schedule — discipline is a big part of running a home based business and the best way to get started is to have a set work schedule. Pick your own hours and stick to them every day. If you want to sleep late, that’s fine, but put in a full day from 12p-8p (for example) and make it routine.

Create a Permanent Office Space — because you are going to be working from your home, you may get a little too distracted in the main living areas. Take the time to build a small office in an area where you will not be disturbed. Make sure everyone in the house respects this as your place of work. This will also help you to stay focused on daily tasks and keep your materials organized.

Work Time Means You Work — this is probably the one key behavior that people who are starting their own home based business need to learn. If instead of focusing on the tasks at hand you choose to take time out to watch TV, walk the dog or share some thoughts with friends on Facebook, you will not accomplish what you set out to do that day. It is not the actual workload that is the problem – it is the lack of time spent working.

Stay Busy — early in your new venture you are going to find times when you will have little to no business. Just because there isn’t much money coming in does not mean that you get the day off. You need to be out there promoting yourself, building a solid foundation and working on the things that will ultimately ensure your success. Think of your business in the terms of a marathon, not a sprint. Staying busy will keep you sharp and keep your mind focused on your business and your ultimate goals.

Having a home based business gives you the opportunity to finally be your own boss. You should display the same professionalism that you would in the outside business world. Stay focused, put in the required time and effort, and you will find your resulting achievements both profitable and personally rewarding.
