There are millions of sports handicappers claiming each and every NFL Win each week and because there are more games in the NBA, there may be even more sports handicappers patting themselves on the back for each and every NBA win as well. So how does one actually become a professional sports handicapper? Basically one declares oneself a professional sports handicapper when one ceases to do much of anything else, other than bet on sports and doesn’t starve to death.

Certainly, there are today numerous professional sports handicapping organizations doing daily NBA picks and weekly NFL picks utilizing experienced sports picks experts, game analyzers, sports picks formulas and even complicated money management and betting systems all of which are supposed to produce near magic results in spitting out winning sports picks, expert sports picks or winning sports picks against the spread. There are lots of picks. There are more picks than shovels. There are more tooth picks than teeth. There are lots of sports picks. There are way more sports picks than good sports pickers. There are way more sports picks than winning sports picks. It is way easier to make a sports pick than a winning sports pick. If you make more winning sports picks than losing sports picks you are doing good at sports picking. You might now be called a sports handicapper. If you pick way more winning sports picks than losing sports picks you might be called a sports picks expert or an expert sports handicapper.

Even if you pick way more winning sports picks than losing sports picks, lets say half again as many winners than losers, you are still picking losers 40% of the time. If you are considered a sports picks expert but by luck of the draw one of your followers gets mostly losing sports picks, you will likely be called any number of unflattering things, as well as having your ancestry called into question.

Does making 60% of your sports picks winning picks make you a sports picks expert? Probably. If you do it over the course of a full season definitely!
