Attitude is a state of your mind; it also tests your patience and stress. If you handle your stress with optimism and hope, you’ll come out of the clutches of despair and hopelessness. A positive attitude will also ensure that you stay optimistic in whatever do you do and perform in your life.
And, let me reassure you right away, I’m not simply going to twitter on about putting a brave face on adversity and smiling through the pain. Telling yourself, over and over, that “I’m OK” is pretty meaningless if you’re not. I’ll leave those sorts of recommendations to others, but not before I point out why they usually do more harm than good.
A positive attitude then is adjusting your mind to reject negativity in all forms, including negative people, and looking at your daily affairs in only a positive and constructive way. Certainly there will be obstacles and set-backs, failures and disappointments, but someone with a positive attitude thinks of these as stepping stones to success and happiness.
Pretending to have a positive attitude is not permission to tell untruths, however. The people that are involved in helping to resolve a problem must be told the truth of the circumstances. The point is to try to portray a positive attitude that a solution will be found, and to let your team know that you are not giving up, that you do not believe the situation is hopeless, and the situation will be resolved somehow – even if you do not really believe any of that yourself.
Small things become a very big deal and people with negative attitudes always seem to be the ones that have bad things happening to them on a daily basis. They were late to work. They forgot their lunch at home. Traffic was bad when they got off. The cable was out. You get the idea.
Always keep your sense of humor. People like to be around those who find humor in even the most awkward moments. Learn to laugh and you will be more positive, especially if you can learn to laugh at yourself. don’t take yourself, or life, too seriously. Life is much too short to waste it moping around in self pity.
By choosing a positive attitude each day, we are actually attracting more positive experiences, and reducing the likelihood of negative experiences. You may have noticed that each experience often determines the quality of the next experience, causing a chain reaction in our lives.
A positive attitude is also contagious. You can pass on your enthusiasm by simply being positive around someone who is not positive. A positive attitude can be the difference in you getting a promotion or overcoming an illness. It affects everything you say and do.
Developing positive mindset are depend on one factor – state of your brain. If you set your brain to a peak state, you will always have peak & positive mindset. Peak mindset come from how you use your body movement. If you try to use lots of body movement, it will bring to you a mind state which telling you about your mindset – normally positive. Focus on what you do during that time will bring you excellent results on what you have focused on.

The average person goes through their adult life in a daze. Research indicates that they are incapable of devoting any appreciable level of attention to anything. It suggests that they only experience what they expect to experience and that the routine tasks of everyday life are done completely mindlessly. If that weren’t enough research also indicates that the average person gets what they expect out of life – and that their expectations are very low, given that they are predisposed to being negative.
Wow – what an awful, but accurate, picture of the average life. How can it be that the vast majority of us are confined to a life that, at best, is not too bad? How can it be that we box ourselves in to a life of generally predictable normality? Is there any way in which we can get off this train that’s going nowhere?
Well, in fact, there is no train and we’ve not been cornered into an “average box” – all the problems you experience in life, all the swings and roundabouts, ups and downs – are all in your head. Nature hasn’t consigned us to a pathetic average life – our minds have. And the great news is that you can take 100% control of what’s going on in your head. In fact, it’s the only thing that you can absolutely control in life – and few people ever bother, they’re content with “not too bad”.
The problem faced by the average adult (apart from the obvious problem of no one ever having told them that they can take full control of their minds!) is that the average mind is overwhelmed with noise. Like a massive tailback, you will never start speeding down that highway to your successful life if you cannot rid yourself of all the mental traffic that’s blocking your way!! OK, I’m mixing my metaphors – but you get the picture?
We are aware of a lot of our mental noise – we are constantly distracted by random thought, ranging from the useless (“Did I unplug the curling tongs?” – and the thought is useless if it occurs to you half an hour after you’ve left home!) to the self-destructive (“Why am I so easily walked over by other people?”). Research suggests that we have up to 50,000 of these thoughts each waking day. That is noise that takes us away from the only time and place we have – the here and now – and, of course, what we’re actually supposed to be doing in the here and now.
In addition, however, there’s a vast depth of noise deep within our subconscious. Many of my clients describe this noise as “the little voice that whispers ‘No You Can’t!’” just when you’re about to take a major personal leap. This is the background noise that, in fact, your subconscious mind is fascinated with most of the time. It’s noise that dates from your childhood – from when your view of the world, how life works and your place in it was formed for you by the people and events that most impressed your young and willing mind. And because our socialisation requires a degree of conformity, those childhood voices tend to lessen our ability to access and use our potential rather than rise to the heights of which we are all, effortlessly, capable. Of course, your blissfully (whether that’s the right word or not is clearly debatable) unaware that this deep mental distractive process is not just constantly playing out but is actually dragging you ever further away from the only moment in which you can surely shine – the here and now. In fact, research suggests that the average person is only 1% present in the here and now – their mind elsewhere playing tricks on them.
All this mental noise tunes you out from the radio station of life – the live show that’s actually going on here and now before your very eyes. That noise stops you experiencing the here and now – with all its possibilities and opportunities. That noise has effectively turned you off – and your 1% presence means that you’re doing precious little more than existing on a life support machine.
It’s time to turn yourself on and tune yourself in to the reality of the present moment. It’s time to rein in your wandering mind so that you can be more effective, more efficient, more productive, more successful and have more presence – here and now. It’s time to drag your subconscious mind’s attention away from a past that’s only tripping up your present. It’s time to turn yourself on and start truly living.
Deliberately, each day – preferably each morning before you do anything else – devote five to ten minutes to paying attention to the here and now. It’s as simple as that to turn yourself on. For example, sit up straight, close your eyes and notice how amplified the sounds are around you – it could be the ticking of the clock or the chirping of a bird. Or spend a few minutes, eyes closed, focused on how your body moves with each breath that you inhale and exhale – get (re)used to listening to or feeling your body – you’ve a lot to learn from it.
In the end, by turning yourself on, you’ll notice what’s actually happening and be able to capitalize on it. You’ll notice things that you’ve never noticed before. As a client excitedly telephoned me one morning to say “Willie, you’ll never guess, I heard the birds sing this morning!” My reply – but the birds sing every morning, it’s just that we’re not tuned in!

How To Guarantee A Successful Start To Each Day by Brendan McKeogh
You can decide that today will be a success the moment you wake up. This is your first and most important choice of the day. And it is a choice! You can choose to put yourself in a positive frame of mind. You can enjoy a leisurely start and still get to work in good time, with a smile on your face.
Having a good start sets you up for a more productive, more fulfilling day. The method that ensures a good day consists of just a few, simple steps. They are, in fact, laughably simple – but that doesn’t make them easy!
Before going to bed tonight, take a quiet ten minutes. Think about what you need to do tomorrow and make sure you’ve got everything you have to take with you. Then open up a self improvement book and copy out a few lines that appeal to you – like this example from Orison Swett Marden: “Your expectations opens or closes the doors of your supply. If you expect grand things, and work honestly for them, they will come to you, your supply will correspond with your expectation”
Leave this note right by your bed, so you can read it as soon as you wake up.
Set your alarm for half an hour before the time at which you really need to get up.
The first and single most important thing you do in the morning:
Get up early!
This just means getting out of bed as soon as the alarm goes off. Now put yourself into a positive frame of mind by reading the quotation you prepared the night before. Spend a few minutes thinking about all you have to be grateful for. But not while you’re still lying in bed! You’ll fall asleep again. Do your thinking as you pull some clothes on. Then wake yourself up properly with a little exercise. Get your body moving with a few gentle stretches. Get outside for a brisk walk. Five minutes out and five back is enough – ten would be better. Get your arms swinging and put a bit of a spring in your step. This is your day – you’re in charge!
Recite some positive affirmations as you walk. Think of all you have to be grateful for, and whatever you have to look forward to today. Once you’re home again, take a shower, get dressed for the day and enjoy a light breakfast. Then head out with a minimum of ten minutes to spare, so your journey isn’t rushed.
The alternative? You can start the day with a panic. Get out of bed at the last possible minute. Then dash about, cursing because you need to iron a shirt, and you’re already late. So you get to work late and spend the entire morning trying to catch up. Where’s the fun in that? Its such a simple choice – but that’s how an awful lot of people begin their working day.
To summarize: If you want to make a success of your day, get up early! Get out of bed immediately your alarm goes off. Read a brief inspirational quote. Take a little light exercise – preferably a brisk walk. While you’re walking, count your blessings. Take a shower, then have a little light breakfast and set off for work in good time to arrive ten minutes before you actually need to be there. And don’t forget to smile! None of this is complicated – it just takes a little forethought. And guess what – it works for me!

Time to Start Climbing That Mountain by Tony Hall
There is an old saying that states something along the lines of, “A mountain has only one peak, but many paths that lead up to it.” It’s a phrase well worth taking heed of.
When you sit down and define what it is you want from life you must have an ultimate outcome and it should be based upon how you really want to feel inside. So, for instance, your ultimate emotional goal may be to be happy, healthy, and financially free. Achieving that will be like climbing to the top of your own particular mountain but what path will you take to get there? It would make sense for the journey to be enjoyable wouldn’t it?
A few years back I had a family holiday in North Wales with my sons and my elderly parents. Whilst there we decided we would like to visit Mount Snowdon (one of the highest peaks in the UK) and get to the top. There are a number of routes up, with paths varying in their degree of difficulty, but with young children and elderly grand-parents the easiest route was chosen – the mountain railway.
It was an enjoyable ride, with great views and opportunities for taking photographs all the way up. And on reaching the end of the line it was just a short walk up to the actual peak. It was well worth it with fantastic views for miles around. Our little goal was achieved and we had had a great time getting there.
(I actually set myself another goal that day of going back and walking up the mountain. One of my sons said he would like to do it too and so now he’s almost reached adulthood it may be time to get it done!)
But back to topic and how achieving your major goal in life will actually be like climbing a mountain. To get there you must consider a few points.
- You must know where and how to start your journey.
- You must consider all the options for reaching your destination.
- You must decide what equipment or resources you need to help you along the way.
- You must consider who else might need to go on the journey with you or who will be affected by it.
- You should ensure that you know how long the journey will take and what events will happen during it.
- You must ensure that you enjoy the route to your goal and that you have realistic plans to get to where you want to be.
- When you get there what is it that you truly want to achieve?
Mount Snowdon is part of the Snowdonia range and when you set off at the bottom you cannot actually see its peak. But we knew that getting up there would be an experience that would never be forgotten and we could visualize clearly the sort of spectacular views we would see and how it would make us feel.
When you set off on the journey to reaching your goals the end may seem a long way off, but by knowing clearly what you want and how you want to feel, and by planning every step carefully, you will get there.
So find your mountain, select your path, and start climbing.
